Join us for the Madrona Institute's second installment of the four-part Climate Solutions Speaker Series in collaboration with Friday Harbor Labs, taking place on Thursday, September 28th at 5:30pm. Join Chuck Greene with Friday Harbor Labs as he discusses climate adaptation through marine carbon sequestration & seaweed/agal solutions. Also hear from Paul Cereghino with NOAA Restoration Center, about federal programs that are supporting local resiliency.

All talks will be free to the community and will be hybrid, held in-person at the Friday Harbor Labs Commons and streamed over Zoom. RSVP is appreciated.

The Madrona Institute and University of Washington Friday Harbor Labs is proud to elevate climate conversations through the 2023 Climate Action Speaker Series. This series will focus not only on identifying the problems but also on presenting viable solutions that span from the federal level to individual households, all aimed at drastically reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

To further minimize carbon emissions associated with travel and foster local community engagement in climate solutions, Lopez Island will host live-streaming events of these speaker series at the Lopez Island Library.
